 A strong quake has struck off the coastline of Indonesia's Sumatra island, making tenants caution, yet there were no fast reports of difficulties or serious damage.

Indonesia's meteorology and geophysics association (BMKG) recorded the significance 6.5 shake off the Mentawai islands not well before 10:30am (03:30 GMT) on Monday and said it didn't set off a wave warning.It was the third quake felt close by on Monday.

A size 5.2 quake was recorded before first light, followed by a degree 5.4 shiver under an hour sometime later.

The significance 6.5 shudder was felt for a couple of moments in the normal capital of Padang and in the enveloping uneven area of Bukitinggi, the calamity association said in a clarification.

The association said there were no reports of misfortunes with the exception of there was minor damage to structures on Siberut island.

Freely, Novriadi, a local disaster official on the Mentawai islands, told the Reuters news association that tenants in a couple of towns had been exhausted to higher ground and a close by chapel, school and prosperity office had been imperceptibly hurt.

The fiasco association urged people not to blow up and advised of the potential for considerable seizures.
